The Lemont Beatles keep their lights on!

The Lemont Beatles keep their lights on!

On this day, October 18th, the Beatles of Lemont entered a room that was completely dark. They decided to do something about that. After a count to three, the Beatles let their collective voices be heard.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

"Turn the lights on!" they yelled.

And suddenly there were lights--after-school lights. There was a whole lot more too! Hanging from the basketball hoop, was the friendly neighborhood Spider-man, in pinata form. He was no match for the major-league swings of the Beatles though, and candy soon went spilling on the floor to kick off the celebration.

There was only one real way to get those feet moving and that was with a classic game of limbo. It was surprising to see how low we were able to go, but a bigger surprise was just around the corner. In entered a vibrant-colored dragon that two of the kids were riding. Normally, we would have been scared, but this googly-eyed, wooden-footed dragon bumped into a wall or two, before showing the crowd its pretty feathers and designs. Then, the rainbow dragon left to a chorus of applause.

While we waited for the magicians to conjure up their strength, the music went on, and after some encouragement, so did the dancing. When the music stopped, everyone froze--it was time for the magic show. The three young Harry Potters amazed their friends, parents, and some of their teachers and left to another ovation of approval.

That's not all. The celebration will continue on Friday as well, and then on Saturday, the Beatles take to the big stage over at the Nittany Mall, for the grand finale. There's even talk that more shows are in the making from these fab-forty-two. Why, you ask?

Because the Lemont Beatles always keep their lights on.
